In December 2001, aged 6, Scott was ready to race and got his
first bike with gears, a KX 65. He got all the kit for
Christmas and couldn't wait to get down to racing. The photo
below was taken on Christmas morning.

In January 2002, just before his 7th
birthday, Scott entered his first ever race at Polesworth on his KX 65
in the junior class. This was to be his only green season as he
switched to KTM at the end of 2002 and never looked back.
The photo below was taken just before the race. We turned
up in an old Fiesta (no camper van in those days!)

In May 2003, Scott didn't do much in the
way of motocross because his dad had a bad motocross accident
which resulted in two broken ankles, 3 months in a wheelchair
and 12 months off work! No more motocross for dad!
The photo below was taken in September 2003 at Long Bucky which
was Scott's first race after the accident, his dad had just come
out of plaster!

In April 2004, Scott was
back with a vengeance and achieved his
first ever race win on his KTM 65 in the junior class.
It was the start of many!

By the end of 2004, Scott had won the
Warley Wasps Junior Club Championship
and also the club's Summer Series
championship. Scott was also
picked for the team event.

In 2005, Scott won the
Motogoo Winter Championship
at Poleworth.
Also in 2005, Scott entered two national events in the junior
65cc class, he had a brand new bike and kit and had also secured
a couple of small sponsorship deals. The year finished
with two
top 5
positions, 5th in the BYMX and 4th in the KWS.

In 2006, Scott entered the BYMX and moved up to the small wheel 85cc class.
He had set his sights on a top 10
finish and ended the
season with an impressive 8th place. The photo below was taken
at Pontrilas in August 2006.

In 2007, Scott's second year in the small
85cc class, he finished the season with two
top 3 positions, finishing 3rd in the BYMX and 2nd
in the Elite Youth Cup. The photo below was taken by Mike Gurney
at Landrake in July 2007.

For 2008, Scott has entered the BYMX and
moved up to the highly competitive big wheel 85cc class.
